Deep golden-brown with golden-tan highlights. A pleasing coin to the unaided eye, but low magnification reveals some scattered microporosity and a network of faint scratches on both sides that engage much of the surface area and are no doubt the result of a long-ago cleaning. Tiny obverse rim bruise below 9 in date and a rim ding at 7 o'clock are the only readily visible marks, with no immediate blemishes on the reverse. All things considered, if you mean to have a filler example of this issue, you could do far, far worse than the present coin. Take an appreciative look at this one.
