The Noe-9 Oak Tree Shilling usually comes well centered on both the obverse and the reverse. The present example, however, exhibits poor centering to the obverse impression with the lower-right periphery mostly off the flan. The coin is rare thus for this die marriage, and we note a broad lip of unstruck flan along the upper-obverse border. Mottled charcoal verdigris, yet with no sizeable abrasions. The planchet exhibits several clips (as made), which is characteristic of most Noe-9 examples.
