76 millimeters. The dies for this handsome medal were cut by Thomas Webb, the finished product published by Daniel Eccleston of Lancaster, England. An impressive example, both sides exhibit only trivial highpoint rub despite the extreme relief of the devices, especially the obverse portrait. Dominant gray-brown patina to both sides, the surfaces revealing glints of original pinkish-red color in the more protected areas around the devices. Minor carbon spotting to both sides, although we do not seen any mentionable abrasions apart from a few extremely trivial rim nicks that are anything but detracting. A very popular type!
