With a neatly executed hole at the upper-obverse border, as almost always seen for the type. It is remarkable to us that this North West Company Token possesses such smooth, evenly colored, brassy-gold surfaces. Most examples of the type are heavily pitted and/or otherwise impaired due to corrosion. Heavy wear to both sides, the lower-peripheral areas on both sides are more-or-less smooth, but the date is discernible on the obverse. The obverse portrait and reverse beaver are generally well outlined.
