This is the usually encountered die state of the S-258 variety, attributable by the presence of an arcing die crack (as struck) over the lower-left obverse. A delightful Mint State example, the coin we are offering here possesses sharp definition throughout the obverse and minimal softening to the detail over the leaves on the reverse wreath. Mostly orange-brown in color, slightly deeper tinting in a medium-brown shade is confined to the left reverse. There are few outwardly distracting blemishes, although accuracy does compel us to mention a few wispy pinscratches in the obverse field before Liberty's profile as well as a short reverse scrape at the letter D in UNITED. An appealing piece that should be of obvious importance to the Mint State type collector.
