48.5 millimeters. The original loop is broken off, and a new hole has been drilled through the top for suspension. The obverse depicts a Native American sowing his field with grain, a farmer plowing in the background. On the reverse, a wreath encircles the inscription SECOND / PRESIDENCY / OF GEO: WASHINGTON / MDCCXCVI. This is the most frequently encountered of the three Seasons medals types.
Both sides exhibit deep copper-brown patina with numerous sizeable digs, scrapes and rim bruises.
