The reverse has an open wreath enclosing the inscription MANASSAS 21 JULY 1861, an observance of the battle there. The piece is struck in silver, about the size of a Dime, has denticles around the border and a reeded edge. This issue, of unknown origin or significance, is exceedingly rare. Even steel-gray patina to both sides. The detail soft in isolated areas, yet is it overall bold on the obverse and includes a clear date on the reverse.
