Issued in 1947 by the Booker T Washington Birthplace Committee. Colorful Christmas card with a cut-out through which the coin displays. Taped or glued down, as originally sent. The front of the card displays a rural scene of Christmas carolers wearing mid 19th-century garb, with a Tudor-style home in the immediate background. In the distance is a church and another building. Inside the card is a quotation of Booker T. Washington about Christmas, which is summarized as: "Good Will, The First and Best Christmas Gift." Nicely toned. Scarce!
