A large, sharply struck medal with the obverse portrait of Washington produced in high relief. Rich reddish color with sea-green field accents and original luster aglow on the high points of the design. The obverse rim is lightly filed at 10 o'clock. Die cracks occur from the obverse rim through the S NATUS to the top of the head, and on the reverse rim from near 3 o'clock diagonally downward through T in PRESIDENT, E in STATES, through the tops of 1790 and ending at adjacent C. Well preserved and free from any surface distractions.
