Obv: similar to the design adopted for general circulation in 1864, but with GOD OUR TRUST on the ribbon; the motto became IN GOD WE TRUST and appears that way in the regular-issue design type of 1864 to 1873. Rev: closed wreath of wheat stalks, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around, 2 / CENTS within, CENTS broadly curved. Deep golden-brown with bold chestnut highlights throughout.
