A diagonal die scratch (as made) on the reverse is noted, a feature seen on most (but not all!) examples of Judd-167. What we do not see, however, are clashmarks, which omission suggests that this piece is attributable to the early press run for the type. Overly softly struck, with blended orange-brown and medium-brown patina to both sides.
