Lot #12486. 1873-CC Liberty Double Eagle. AU-50 (PCGS).

Description: The 1873-CC is the fourth double eagle issue to be struck from the Carson City Mint, with only 22,410 coins originally delivered. The present example shows a light amount of wear distributed evenly over the highpoints, and a pinkish-gold surface coloration. A couple of mentionable marks are seen on Liberty's cheek and there are myriad tiny abrasions from circulation.
