EXTREMELY RARE Gold Exhibition Medal

Description: 59.7 mm; 150.19 gms. Conjoined busts of King Rama and Queen Sawang Vadhana to left. Reverse: Maha Chakri Royal Emblem above a plaque for engraving the recipient's name-which itself is above a three-headed Elephant (Erawan). to the left and right are two sword-weilding devas. It appears that the name of the recipient has been effaced from the plaque. This medal has been cataloged in both bronze and silver, which are know to have been awarded to participants of the exhibition, but it is believed that the gold medals were reserved for members of the Royal Family on the Centenary of their rule. EXTREMELY RARE and possibly unique.
