Lot #22479. BRAZIL. Order of the Rose Silver Gilt, Officers Breast Badge With Crown, ND (Instituted 1829).

Description: 65 x 55 mm; 47.8 gms. cf.Barac-110; Wer-169; Vernon-NL. Six pointed ball tip red "cross" on starburst of 6 points with 3 pink rose blossoms in each angle. Domed center disc with love knot at 6 o'clock (180 degrees from what is typical for this order) and "AMOR E FIDELIDADE" around initials of Don Pedro I and Amelia. At top is a silver imperial crown with a green enamel liner. Top of rose is chipped and there are 2 tiny cracks on one arm of the star. Hinged tunic pin.
