Scarce Choice Mint State 1894/1894 Indian Head Cent

For many years, the Indian Head cent has been avidly collected by serious numismatists, and over the years, many interesting varieties, including Doubled Dies, Repunched Dates, and others have been discovered and cataloged in detail by numismatic researchers and scholars such as Walter Breen and, more recently, Rick Snow. One of the more dramatic repunched dates in the series is the 1894, which shows bold double impressions particularly on the “94” in the date.

The example we offer in this week’s iAuction, is graded MS-63 BN by PCGS and is a lovely, evenly toned coin featuring well struck devices. If you are a serious collector of Indian Head cents, be sure to review the listing and participate in the sale. Bidding closes on Sunday, September 7.
