This is an elusive, fully issued example of the highly sought after 1904 10 Taels note. The vertical format note displays two portraits at the top, with roughly 3/4 of the note depicting facing dragons at center, with the pearl of wisdom between them. At the center is an intricately lathed geometric design. The underprint is a dulled-yellow color that is highly attractive against the dark black primary design. The design on the reverse is dark green, with a floral design at center. At top is "CHINA" in a neat font, with "Kuping Cycee 10 Taels, Hupeh Government Cash Bank" at the bottom end. For the top tier collector seeking the rarest of the rare, this note is sure to be very appealing, as it is often missing from even the most in depth collections of Chinese paper.
