April begins with a bang as we close the final sessions of our Baltimore and Hong Kong sales. Fresh off these important events, we will be traveling to coin shows to meet with collectors and dealers to buy and sell, as well as accept consignments for our upcoming auction sales.
For the first time we are taking a table at the quarterly Westchester Coin and Stamp Expo being held in White Plains, New York Friday April 4 and Saturday April 5. Greg Cohen will be at our table accepting consignments for our upcoming sales: June in Baltimore, ANA World’s Fair of Money in Chicago, August in Hong Kong and our weekly iAuctions. If you are in the New York Metropolitan area, please come by and say hi. Greg looks forward to meeting with local collectors to answer questions and assist them in finding those hard to locate coins for their collections.
The following week is the annual Chicago International Coin Fair (CICF) in Rosemont, Illinois. Kent and Kyle Ponterio, and Greg Cohen will be attending, buying and selling coins and accepting consignments for our upcoming auction sales. The show opens to the public on the afternoon of Thursday, April 10 and closes in the early afternoon of Sunday, April 13.
Finally, Stack’s Bowers Galleries will have a major presence at the Central States Numismatic Convention (CSNS) in Schaumberg, Illinois. Meet with members of our staff for all of your numismatic needs. We will be actively buying, selling and accepting consignments for all of our auction venues. We will be well staffed at this show with U.S. coin, currency, and world coin experts, and we hope to see you at this important event.
With all these goings on out of the office, Stack’s Bowers Galleries is also pleased to announce that the flagship store at 123 West 57th Street in New York City is fully stocked with a wide variety of U.S. coins and currency, as well as world and ancient coins. With newly extended hours on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, we hope that you will come in and peruse our inventory and find a coin or two to add to your collection.
