Our Boston Coin Shop

Stack’s Bowers Galleries name has become synonymous with quality and expertise. We have continued to grow and have opened a location in the heart of the Financial District in Boston, across from Faneuil Hall and the historic Quincy Market. Our new gallery will accept walk-ins and will offer all of the services that Stack’s Bowers Galleries’ customers have come to know and love.

Over the years, we have helped build many collections, from modest in size, to the most valuable ever formed. We are responsible for the sale of the most valuable collections ever sold at auction, including the cabinets of D. Brent Pogue Collection, Louis E. Eliasberg, Sr. and John J. Ford, Jr.  The Josiah K. Lilly Collection, a centerpiece of the National Numismatic Collection at the Smithsonian Institution, was also acquired solely through us.

We continue to be the premier resource for all numismatic collectors from novice to experts. We pay top dollar for coins, currency, medals, and related items from partial to complete collections. With millions of dollars in new inventory added daily, our team of experts are ready to help you select a piece that’s perfect for your collection. If you’re interested in selling your rare coins or paper money, our team of professionals can help you achieve the highest prices for your items, as we have handled more prominent collections and have set more records than any other rare coin auction firm in the world.
