Did You Know Stack’s Bowers Galleries has a new Director of
Currency Operations? We are pleased to welcome Cassi East to our staff. Cassi
has been a mainstay in the auction industry since 1997 and will be a familiar
face to many of our consigners. We are pleased to share a bit about her
background and qualifications:
Cassi East started her career in the collectibles industry in 1997 with Kingswood Coin Auctions. In 1998 she was promoted to DIrector of Auctions for all auction companies then owed by Collectors Universe (Auctions by Bowers and Merena, Kingswood, Good Rockin’ Tonight, Odyssey Auctions, Lyn Knight Currency, and Superior Sports Auctions). In 2003 Collectors Universe sold the auction divisions and Cassi stayed on with CU as Director of Customer Service, charged with managing the customer service staff of the authentication and grading services. In 2006 the company purchased Certified Coin Exchange (CCE), a sight-seen/unseen, rule-governed trading system for coin dealers, and appointed Cassi President. In 2012, Cassi was appointed President of Long Beach Expo, the largest Coin, Currency, Stamp and Sports Card Collectible Show.
