Mas Fera Collection
It seems like it was only a short time ago that we were in Hong Kong for our annual Spring Auction. During the intervening period, our team has been hard at work gathering consignments for our August Hong Kong sale. Now, with the completion of the catalog right around the corner, I’m happy to announce another outstanding event, with over 3,300 lots (more than our March total!) that will be sold between our coin and paper money sessions.
While the sale has no shortage of highlights, among the most exciting will be our offering of The Mas Fera Collection, which will be sold entirely without reserve. Off the market for over 40 years, the collection is small in terms of lots at just over 60, but packs a big punch! Comprising mostly Chinese coinage, it features many of the most desirable types produced at the beginning of the 20th century. This means that a significant portion of the popular portrait Dollars of the Republic will be sold, but it is the inclusion of several extremely rare patterns that really sets the collection apart.
