Popular for specimen type purposes as a turn-of-the-century issue, the Proof 1900 Barber half dollar was produced to the extent of 912 coins. Enough examples have survived that acquiring a lower grade piece up to Proof-64 should not prove all that difficult. Gems are scarce, however.

The example to the left was sold by Stack's Bowers Galleries in the August 2019 Rosemont ANA Auction, where it realized $13,200.
