?Found in Lot 3204 of the Spring 2022 Auction is a fascinating 136.30 ounce Kellogg & Humbert Assayers gold ingot, which was plated in A California Gold Rush History written by Q. David Bowers. This bar was discovered when the wreck of the S.S. Central America was located at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, where it had remained for more than a century.
