Stack’s Bowers Galleries is accepting applications for its Professional Numismatist Program, a professional development course for young people interested in working in the coin industry. The deadline for applications is May 1, 2024.
The program’s core curriculum, taught by a group of Stack’s Bowers Galleries’ world-class numismatic staff, includes:
- Advanced Coin Grading
- Numismatic Wholesale Trading and Valuation
- Bullion Trading
- Introduction to World and Ancient Numismatics
Outside of the core curriculum, various electives are available, specifically: - Auction Cataloging
- Numismatic Marketing
- Introduction to US and World Paper Money
- Coin Photography
- The Art of Auctioneering
Extracurricular activities offer students the opportunity to explore Southern California around the Stack’s Bowers Galleries headquarters in Costa Mesa.
The PNP’s inaugural session took place last summer and was a great success.
All costs (including travel to the corporate headquarters in Costa Mesa and lodging) will be covered for successful applicants. Applicants will be informed of the status of their application by May 15, 2024.
