Our upcoming November 2022 World & Ancient Collectors Choice Online (CCO) auction will feature Part 2 of the Robert C. Knepper Collection—a cabinet centered around the wildman motif. Part 2 will feature 50 lots with various depictions of wildmen (or very similar iconography) mainly from the German duchy of Brunswick-Luneburg. While Part 1, sold in our Summer 2022 Global Showcase Auction in August, presented larger denominations, such as Talers and their multiples, Part 2 will focus more closely upon fractional denominations, such as ½ Talers and multiples of Mariengroschen.
