British Commonwealth Notes Featured in this Week’s Currency iAuction

British Commonwealth notes highlight this week’s Stack’s Bowers Galleries currency iAuction. Sixty-two lots of world notes, including selections from Australia, Bahamas, Belize, Bermuda, Canada, and more, are up for auction through Sunday night. Among the many fascinating notes being offered is an East African Currency Board 20 Shillings, Pick 43b, graded Superb Gem New 67 PPQ by PCGS (lot 20882). The note carries an estimate of $700 to $1000.

There are also 160 lots of U.S. notes available for bidding, comprising Large and Small Size Type, Obsolete, Confederate and National Currency. Among the many quality notes in the U.S. section is a Fr. 282 1923 $5 “Porthole” Silver Certificate (lot 20770). The note, graded Fine 12 by PCGS, carries an estimate of $700-$900.

The auction is available for bidding now until Sunday, May 25, closing at 7:00 PM PST.
