Obverse Design: “VALUE. ME. AS. YOU. PLEASE. III” The obverse of the coin shows a deer facing the left side of the coin. In a circle around the deer is the text listed above. Centered in ornamentation at the bottom of the coin are III Roman Numerals. A pointing hand is located to the left of the 3 Roman Numerals, pointing to the word VALVE. To the right of the 3 Roman Numerals is a star symbol. A crescent moon is located beneath the Roman Numerals.

Helpful Tips for Identifying the W-8265, Freidus 3.2-D Variety: The positioning of the antlers on the obverse of the coin is the same as W-8255 and W-8260. On the reverse, the broad axe is placed towards the center of the coin. This is in contrast to previous varieties, like W-8260, where the axe has touched the circular border. At the bottom of the coin is the date 1739.

The example to the left is from Stack’s Bowers Galleries August 2022 Sale of The Sydney F. Martin Collection, Part I, where it sold for $72,000.
