Rare 1922 $50 Banknote Offered in December Hong Kong Auction 

We are pleased to announce that lot 40276 in our December HK sale offers a HSBC Pick s342s 1922 $50 Specimen from Peking in a spectacular GEM 65 EPQ holder. This note features a design that is only known in Specimen or proof form. This is a beautiful note, with the back featuring a side view of the Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corp. mainland China headquarters. In addition to being one of just four examples certified by PMG, the offered note is also tied with one other note as the finest known. This is our first time handling this type, and given its rarity, we expect spirited bidding.
