America’s First Dollar: Incredibly Rare Early Regulated and Hallmarked Philip Syng Dollar

In Stack’s Bowers Galleries’ August 2022 Rarities Night session, we will be featuring a seldom seen regulated and hallmarked Philip Syng dollar. The host coin is a 1751-P q/E 8 Reales from Bolivia and the regulation of the dollar took place in 1777. It has been graded by NGC as VF-25. It is offered as part of a two-coin lot that contains one regulated dollar and one regular Bolivian dollar of the same mint and date.
