Gem New Zealand 50 Pounds Included in August Auction

Our August “Around the Globe” paper money sale will feature over 1,200 lots from a multitude of countries. One impressive note is this New Zealand P-162c 50 Pounds note in PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.

The note is a large format TDLR printed piece and shows a face design found on the 10 Pound denomination of the series. Displayed is a large sailing ship at left and a portrait vignette of captain James Cook at right. The back design has a dairy farm in foreground of Mt. Egmont. With not many appearances in public auction, and certainly few near this quality, we expect this note to garner quite a bit of attention.
