Our June 2026 Showcase Auction is just days away, a sale filled with collecting opportunities for U.S. coin enthusiasts of all types. Beyond Barber coinage, we are also excited to auction off a multiple beautiful, rare Gobrecht dollars including a delightfully toned Judd-105 Cabinet Coin Restrike. That coin is a gorgeous, reflective Gem Proof specimen featuring a blend of pale blue, muted lilac, and yellow gold color. Additionally I want to highlight two incredible rarities available for bidding which combined have a known population of just three coins! Lot 2096 is the finest of two known 1841 Proof No Drapery Liberty Seated dimes, the Newman specimen, and is also the finest Proof 1841 Liberty Seated dime irrespective of design type. It is a beautiful Superb Gem with original and attractive toning that includes shades of cobalt blue and reddish-gold. It represents a significant bidding opportunity for advanced specialists in early U.S. Mint Proof coinage and Liberty Seated dimes. This exquisite specimen would also make a significant addition to a dedicated pattern collection. The 1878 pattern quarter eagle presented in lot 2304 is a marvelous Superb Gem with a dusting of pale silver-olive iridescence on warm, vivid, reddish-orange color. The Judd-1566 gold striking is a legendary rarity since this type is usually represented by the Judd 1567 copper strikings, Judd-1567, of which about a dozen are known.
