The First Session of the D. Brent Pogue Collection Was Sold in May

Seven years ago, Stack’s Bowers Galleries and Sotheby’s offered the first session of the D. Brent Pogue Collection, Masterpieces of United States Coinage, much to our bidders’ excitement. Over the course of the day, May 19^th, we sold 128 lots for a total of $25,684,136. This marked the first session of what would become the most valuable coin collection ever sold at auction.
