Triskaidekaphiliacs, whom have love or affinity for the number 13, will have a great opportunity to acquire some special Serial Number 13 banknotes (offered as individual notes) in our upcoming Collectors Choice Online World Paper Money Auction. Live bidding will begin on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2019, at 12 PM EST.
Two notes from Lithuania, and two Russian notes from the USSR display the desirable serial number. Lot 72173, a 50 Litu from the 2003 Lietuvos Bankas series, has Basanavicius pictured at right and bidding will start at $90 USD. Lot 72174, a Pick 69, 2007 20 Latu showcases an image of Maironis at right, and also starts bidding at $90 USD. Both pieces are Uncirculated.
Lot 72259 is a Russian joint stock companies uniface 10 Rubles note from the Soviet Era. It is in AU condition with minor folds noticed. The 1 Ruble in Lot 72260 comes from a Russian/Soviet agro-industrial company and is in Extremely Fine condition. A light stain is noticed on the back of the note and lightly on the front. Bold black inks and well defined impressions are present throughout the rest of the uniface note. Both Russian notes also open at just $90 USD.
