IRVINE, Calif. (January 15, 2013) — The American Numismatic Association (ANA) has once again selected Stack’s Bowers Galleries as an official auctioneer for its most important convention of the year: the World’s Fair of MoneySM. Held mid-summer in popular locations across the country, the World’s Fair of Money is the nation’s premier money show, featuring the most expansive educational programs and best numismatic inventory of any summer show.
“We are very pleased to once again have the opportunity to work with the ANA as an official auctioneer for the World’s Fair of Money — one of the most dynamic shows of the year,” said Brian Kendrella, president of Stack’s Bowers Galleries. “We look forward to presenting auctions that will be truly memorable in keeping with our long tradition of success with the ANA. The next four years will be exciting for all involved!”
Q. Dave Bowers, chairman emeritus of Stack’s Bowers Galleries stated: “Over many decades of selling coins, tokens, medals and paper money at auction — including some of the finest collections ever formed and all of the great American individual rarities — my favorite venue has been the World’s Fair of Money. It has always been a magnet for buyers, sellers and enthusiasts worldwide. I’m excited about this year’s event in particular, as so many great items have already been consigned. If I can give a few words of advice, here they are: space is going to be very tight, the number of lots is limited, and if you’d like to be part of this dynamic event, I encourage you to contact us as soon possible.”
“We’re delighted to have Stack’s Bowers Galleries continue as an official auctioneer for the World’s Fair of Money,” said Kimberly Kiick, executive director of the ANA. “We’d like to thank Stack’s Bowers Galleries for its support of the hobby and the ANA’s educational mission.”
The 2014 and 2015 ANA World’s Fair of Money shows will be held in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont, Illinois, before moving to Anaheim, California, in 2016. The 2017 World’s Fair of Money will be held in Denver, Colorado.
