Stack’s Bowers Galleries has established itself as the physical cryptocurrency specialist. In late 2021, we became the first major auction house to offer a physical Bitcoin at public auction when we sold a 2013 0.1 Bitcoin for $33,600. Since then, we have continued to pursue physical cryptocurrency consignments and increase the number of physical crypto lots that we offer in each sale. Many of the coins that we have sold have brought large premiums over their face value or “peel value”.
