Stacks Bowers Galleries is excited to announce the Physical Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency session of their Spring 2025 Showcase Auction, hosted live on Thursday, April 3 at 9:00 AM PDT (12:00 PM ET). Presented are more than 60 crypto lots that span from the classic Casascius and Lealana rarities of the early 2011-2014 period, to more modern collector favorites from the BTCC, BlueBits, Kialara, Alpen Coin, Satori, Polymerbit, and other series. Over two days in March 2025, Stacks Bowers Galleries auctioned Part II of the historic L. E. Bruun Collection in Zurich, realizing over €9.4 million (nearly US$10.3 million) and continuing a series of record-breaking sales. This installment featured 550 Scandinavian coins ranging from the Viking era to the 19th century, with strong results across all value tiers. The collection has now achieved a combined total of over €24.6 million (US$27.2 million) from three auctions, including online-only events. Highlights included the €312,000 sale of a rare 1788 Danish 20 Ducats and the continuing global interest in the collections rich history and rarity. As part of a unique 100-year will, the entire 20,000-coin collection is being sold over several years, with the next live auction scheduled for October 2025 in Copenhagen.

Stacks Bowers Galleries will auction Part II of the L. E. Bruun Collection, the world's premier private collection of Scandinavian coinage, on March 14-15, 2025, in Zurich, Switzerland, with an estimated value of €5.5 to €7.5 million. The collection, amassed by Danish businessman L. E. Bruun in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, was held in trust for 100 years and is now being auctioned after the Royal Danish Coin and Medal Collection remained intact. Part I of the auction, held in September 2024, realized a record-breaking €14.8 million, and the ongoing sales are expected to surpass €25 million in total.
