Over two days in March 2025, Stacks Bowers Galleries auctioned Part II of the historic L. E. Bruun Collection in Zurich, realizing over €9.4 million (nearly US$10.3 million) and continuing a series of record-breaking sales. This installment featured 550 Scandinavian coins ranging from the Viking era to the 19th century, with strong results across all value tiers. The collection has now achieved a combined total of over €24.6 million (US$27.2 million) from three auctions, including online-only events. Highlights included the €312,000 sale of a rare 1788 Danish 20 Ducats and the continuing global interest in the collections rich history and rarity. As part of a unique 100-year will, the entire 20,000-coin collection is being sold over several years, with the next live auction scheduled for October 2025 in Copenhagen.
